The NSW government, from 1st November will ban single-use plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery, plastic plates, bowls and cotton buds.  This follows the ban on lightweight plastic bags with handles from June this year.   This ban will prevent almost 2.7 billion items of plastic litter from entering the environment in NSW over the next 20 years.   A campaign launched by the NSW government "Stop it and Swap it" shows how critical it is that we implement this change.
