NSW to ban all single-use plastic bags
NSW will become the last state to introduce a total ban on all single-use plastic bags. This is fantastic news, although it looks like the change may not be introduced until late this year, with the premier first seeking feedback on the plan before implementing it.
It is hoped that with the introduction of this legislation, NSW will become a leader when it comes to reducing plastic and protecting the environment. All other states in Australia already have a plastic bag ban implemented, while supermarkets Coles and Woolworths have already implemented a voluntary single-use plastic bag ban.
Reusable shopping bags, such as the flip & tumble 24/7 ultimate reusable bag are a great replacement of plastic bags; long-lasting, foldable, strong and stylish.
